It seemed to me that honor is something we can give out that doesn&#039;t necessarily coincide with something earned.  Yet, there is a verse that says to give honor to whom honor is due. Maybe honor is due for more people than we actually express it and again it ties with the idea that we really need to be doing this more often. A thing or a person holds a station that earns it&#039;s value or respect regardless of any action taken. Honor and worth, on the other hand, require action to prove something about the beholder. i can respect you without having to express it.  To honor you i must reveal myself.
